What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

I learned that there is a lot of history in the walls of my church and I feel that it is important to the community to share and celebrate our heritage so that it is not lost. I also learned that there are many hidden interesting stories in our communities that we can learn about if we just look around.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

I found it interesting that the church was built without any modern machinery because it did not exist at that time.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

I am grateful that we have it so much easier due to modern inventions. Long ago, people had to put so much more work and effort into their daily lives. What has stayed the same is the pride we still have in the community and the fact that people still come together to help there neighbours in times of need.
