The Work of Nursing Sisters in WWI
My project is about the real-life work of Nursing Sisters and what it looked like for them in the field day-to-day.
What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?
The working conditions of the Nursing Sisters were very eye opening for me as well as learning about Eden Pringle, the youngest Nursing Sister to die in the field.
What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?
Nursing Sisters were not just regular nurses, they dealt with horrible situations and sacrificed their lives for their country.
How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?
Our lives today are safe, hygienic and less stressful compared to the lives and work of the Nursing Sisters.
