Communicable Diseases

My heritage fair project is about pneumonia and whooping cough, and the differences about them. I also talk about my personal connections to those two communicable diseases.

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

My personal family connections, because I got to learn more about my family history.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

That communicable diseases never go away. Most people don't realize that you need to be hospitalized right away if you have ANY type of communicable disease.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

That we have more knowledge about medications and we have found different ways to help people get better.
