Canada's Contribution to Space

A part of my project was discovering the connection between osteoporosis and astronauts and how research can help Canadians.

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

The most interesting thing I learned about my topic was that 1 in 4 woman and 1 in 8 men are affected by osteoporosis.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

Throughout the last 6 decades, Canada has been a pioneer in space innovation & research. 1.5 million Canadians are affected by osteoporosis and Canadians in space are leading the research to find a cure.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

Even though they didn't have all the answers for this project a decade ago or even maybe longer, it is good that they now have more answers for my generation and they can help our bones stay strong.
