The Canadian Beaver

The history of the Canadian Beaver and how it came to be a national symbol for Canada. The beavers habitat and lifestyle and it's importance to all other wildlife in its area.

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

I think the most interesting thing I've learned about my project is how the beavers build their dams and how they use their teeth to cut down trees.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

I learned the beaver became a symbol of Canada long before the Maple leaf. Canada wanted to pay tribute to the beaver because it was hard working like many Canadians and its pelts were very profitable.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

If I was going to compare my life to that of a beaver's life we do have a few things in common such as they live in a home with their families and they are great swimmers just like me.
