War World II - Juno Beach

I will present about the Juno Beach battle during the War World Two, the importance of that day and the strategies used.

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

1. 14,000 Canadians landed on D-Day 2. 340 Canadian died that day 3. 1,017 Canadians died during the first six days of the Normandy campaign 4. By the end of the Normandy campaign, about 5,020 Canadians had been killed. About 5,400 Canadians are buried in Normandy.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

It is important to think, organize and strategize your actions. this would be half of the battle. Juno Beach and Operation Overload was very well organized and planed for long time.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

We are very lucky to live in a great country and there is no war. People don't die killing each other in battles.
