Canadian Cancer Society
In my project I explain the work of the Canadian Cancer Society and how they have affected lots of people within my family and other Canadians.
What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?
The most interesting thing I learned about my project was how much they put into what they do. And how much they do for us. They do lots of different fundraisers and other events such as the Relay For Life, Camp Goodtime, etc.
What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?
I learned that the Canadian Cancer Society isn't all about fundraising. Yes, thats a big part of what they do, but they also are there for people to talk to, make them feel special and loved. They let people suffering with cancer know that they are not alone. They truly care about our country and I believe that they WILL find a cure and I believe it will be very very soon.
How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?
Although I did not study much about the past of CCS, I did however realize how thankful we ought to be for the CCS. Because of them we have a way higher chance of fighting cancer and winning the battle!
