Craig Kielburger

My project is about a Canadian passionate man named Craig Kielburger, he is the founder of Free The Children And Me To We. These two international organizations are changing the way people think and learn, making impacts all over Canada and the world. Through my project you will learn the journey of Craig's life to success and change.

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

Something I found really interesting is behind these two international organizations (Me To We and Free The Children). Is the sincerity and dedication of a 12 year old boy. Who was determined to create change in his local areas but also globally. He has changed the perspective of many and has demonstrated, that anyone has the power to make a difference.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

An important lesson I have learned is we all have the power to make a difference. All we need is action and determination. If we put our mind on any goal, nothing can stop us from reaching it. This is exactly what Craig's story defines, at a very young age he set a goal to end poverty and day by day he is one step closer.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

I feel that we as humans sometimes know that these issues surround us ( ex. Poverty, child labour, ect) but we still tend to ignore them. Over the past 10 to 15 years I believe this has changed. We have started to care more and understand the importance of a substantial life.
