History of Injustices to Children

This project is about the different injustices to children in our history. An example from Canadian History include the Home Children who were sent from Britain to Canada for a better future but ended up as slaves. Residential schools also are a tragic example of the unfortunate children who were treated very poorly.  Also Over one million Jewish children were victims of the holocaust. Many children were abused, enslaved, killed and treated poorly and the scope of this project is to educate the viewer about these stories.

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

The most interesting thing I found was the tragic children who were used for medical experiments. I feel disgusted and sad that adults would allow this to happen.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

I've learned that not all children were treated kindly with love and care. In fact many children were were sent to rural areas of Canada to work as slaves. I also want people to know that children were experimented on by scientists and were forgotten by society.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

My life today is nothing like the children I learned about. I feel very fortunate to be living the life I have today. I grow up in a society that truly cares about the future of all children.
