What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

The most interesting thing I learned was log driving because of how they put the logs in the rivers to float them to the saw mills. I thought it was interesting because it's a unique way. They used what they had to get the job done.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

I learned that it supplies the carpentry and shipbuilding industry of New Brunswick and Canada. We should care about the lumber industry because it supplies jobs for our communities.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

A lot more automatic tools are used now in the lumber industry, like chainsaws, trucks and tractors. In the early year, they used rivers, horses, oxen and various tools, such as picaroons, peevee and pulp hooks.
