Freedom Train

This freedom train brought approximately 30,000 to canada where they where free. I chose to show others the trials black people faced as a slave and as a free person.

 

 

 

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

How they kept this whole organization a secret and gathering so many people to help. It must have taken much skill and hope for white people to risk their lives for others freedom.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

That you can do anything if you believe in yourself. Don't be discouraged if you fail once or twice, just try try again. And that you can never cannot do something,its just that you don't do it.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

I feel so lucky to be free. Back then, you had you go through so many harsh situations to be free.
