The battle for control of Canada between the French led by Montcalm and the British led by James Wolfe on September 17, 1759.

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

I found it most interesting that such a historic battle only lasted 15 minutes. It was also surprising that both opposing generals died from their injuries that they received during the short battle.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

I learned that life was very hard long ago and people were very patriotic for their homeland.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

Today we live with freedom in Canada, not having to battle for control of our land. Weapons are far more advanced and accurate. Food and shelter are abundant today, compared to Canada in 1759.
