Quilting From The Past

My project tells about the history of quilting, and why they would quilt back in the day! What they used and the differences today with quilting materials and patterns!

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

That cat tail fluff was used to fill the insides of quilts! And that now a days we use this fancy quilt batt!

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

Quilts aren't just something that's made and then they have it for ahhhhh 2 or 3 years. They are something that gets past down from generation to generation! If you have a quilt that's been past down to you maybe you should look up how old your Quilt is, I have one that 109 years old!

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

Well back in the day you had to make every thing you needed and I mean everything! But now a days we can just run out and buy what ever we need! It just goes to show how hard you had to work to stay a live in the past!
