What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

I learned that he has a connection to my family. My uncle known as Vernon White was the chief of police in Ottawa, Ontario. My Grampy was part of the army when he was young.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

I want to tell other Canadians about how Steele did great deeds for Canada during the Gold Rush. He also did deeds for South Africa when he was in their constabulary. He was very important to Canada because he risked his life.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

My life is different than his because my parents did not die but my Papa died before I was born and my Nanny died when I was very young. Also my life is different than his because I have no stepbrother. Also, I never went to boarding school and I never will.
