The Restigouche River

My project is a brief history on the Restigouche River. The river has many important factors, and my film will explain a few of them.

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

The most interesting thing that I learned in doing this project is that the Restigouche River provides more than nature's beauty to our local area. It is also a major contribuator to our local economy.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

Through this project, I have learned to take pride in my heritage. I have also realized the importance of the Restiouche River. I discovered that if you are interested in something, then you should learn more about it, and share your knowledge with others.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

I feel that my generation has a greater understanding of the importance of preserving our River for future generations. We have learned that overfishing and pollution can destroy the life of our river.
