I have created a historical project on my nationality. The focus of my project is the Cree People and their culture and history. I have a real connection and pride between my cultural roots and the person I am today.

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

I found when I was researching this topic that many students, and even I, did not know all that there is to learn about this colourful, bright and spiritual group of Canadians.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

The important lessons I have learned is to know your background and who you are, so that you can be proud of who you are.I want to share knowledge of my people to all Canadians so that they can learn about this great culture and what this culture can show power to all.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

The lives and cultural dress of the people I studied is much different then the way I dress and live. I think I would prefer to live much like they lived, however, because I'm in a wheelchair I know these people would value me but, living a life in teepees and traveling would be difficult.
