The passionate pastry producer, the confident coffee creator. The Tim Hortons restaurant was famously founded in May 1964. Tim Hortons is also a very giving organizations, totalling $230,000,000 to help adults and kids alike with disadvantages. Another mind-blowing about this restaurant is that if you lined up every Timbit ever eaten, it would reach the moon and back an astounding five times! Tim died, sadly, in 1974 in a car crash that left the entire nation mourning for their beloved hockey player. His wife, Lori, sold the company in a panic for only $1 million, which is now $6,486,795.13. Who did she sell it to? Tim’s business partner, Ron Joyce. So, the company is currently owned by RBI, a Brazilian-based company, that now owns Burger King and Wendy’s. In 1999, they invented the Iced Capp, which is now sold worldwide. They’re have been many imitations, but you can’t imitate perfection. Tim Horton’s recently signed a contract that allows them to expand to South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and is considering expanding to Indonesia. The Timbits Organization gives to communities that cannot afford good sports equipment. They support hockey, baseball, ringette, lacrosse and soccer. Another amazing fact is that the original logo, which contained four chocolate donuts and the colour of the letters was blue, had four donuts for his four daughters. Tim Horton’s recently celebrated its 60th year of existence. Now entering a 61st year, it is highly unlikely that they will disappoint.
