Project: Walter Learning…from his Dream to Reality!

This project shows how one man's dream led to the first professional theatre company in New Brunswick. He continues to inspire us today in theatre and film while battling macular degeneration.

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

I learned to never let anything get in the way of your dreams. If you work hard and never give up you can reach your goals.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

I have learned that if you have a dream and you work really hard ….you can achieve it. I have also learned that one person can make a positive change in our community with hard work and dedication. Most importantly, I now believe that no matter what life throws at you, you can overcome just about anything.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

I see our lives as taking very similar paths. I hope that I can someday look back on my life and be as fulfilled as Mr. Learning.

    Dear Emma,

Beautiful video! I enjoyed most that you had so many terrific video effects! For example, right off the bat, you zoomed into Fredricton on the globe. I thought that was so cool! Also, during the interview with Walter Learning, you were able to show pictures of him as he was answering your in-depth questions! Will we see you on the stage some day? Nice work.
