1812 History is a digitization project that brings artifacts from a number of different institutions together in one, online database. Students and teachers can search for an item, or browse through high quality objects, images, and documents.

10 detailed lesson plans provide teachers with ideas on how the collection can be used in the classroom. From designing their own museum exhibit to making historical art, students will engage with the objects and memories from the War of 1812.
