  • read about the history of Emily Carr
  • recognize works by Emily Carr
  • write an original story or letter

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Emily Carr, one of Canada’s foremost painters, is featured in the September/October 2006 issue of Kayak magazine. After learning about the works of Emily Carr, students will assume the role of her subject material and write their own story based on the artwork.
