A ship abandoned in the Arctic 155 years ago while searching for Sir John Franklin’s expedition has been found. The HMS Investigator, whose crew found the western entrance to the northwest passage while stranded in the Arctic, was discovered by Parks Canada archeologists in Banks Island’s Mercy Bay in the Northwest Territories.
