The Globe and Mail: Hamilton prepares for battle

In Stoney Creek, Ont., they’re getting ready for the American invasion, as they have every summer for the last 30 years. Some 500 American and Canadian re-enactors will set up their tents on the lawns of Battlefield House Museum and Park National Historic Site, cook on their campfires, perform drills and eventually battle it out in a noisy, smoke-filled field while a narrator provides commentary to the crowd of modern day onlookers.
