The City of Surrey’s Parks, Recreation and Culture Department currently has an auxiliary part-time (21 hrs per week) Heritage Re-enactment Co-ordinator opportunity in the Heritage Services Division. This position will be responsible for a new pilot project launching historical re-enactment presentations at City and Museum special events. The Heritage Re-enactment Co-ordinator works with volunteers, contracted actors, staff and the community to co-ordinate the production and presentation of dramatic heritage re-enactment vignettes, during the summer program season. The position reports to the Manager of Heritage Services.

The City of Surrey’s Parks, Recreation and Culture Department currently has a part time Community Services Assistant 5 (Museum Public Program Specialist) opportunity at the Surrey Museum. The Surrey Museum is a 24,000 sq. ft. facility with fantastic programming facilities, three multi-purpose rooms and a 42-seat theatre. This position works in a community development context to develop and present public programs, courses, workshops and special events as a service and revenue source for the Surrey Museum. The position reports to the Museum Manager.

This position provides specific administrative and meeting support to the organization, including the Board of Directors and its committees. The position provides direct support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), as well as to other positions within the organization and works within the governance framework established by the HS Board as interpreted by the CEO.
