Hop back in time to the 1940s for an evening of dancing under the stars! Join us at Pier 9 alongside H.M.C.S. Haida Historic Naval Ship on Saturday, July 24th, 2010 for a 1940s Summer Shore-leave Party! Jitterbug under the moon to the big band sounds of Sophisticated Swing! Picture yourself next to a classic car with Canada’s Fighting-est Ship in the background! Sip a cool one at the canteen as your hosts, H.M.C.S. Haida National Historic Site of Canada and Friends of Haida, recreate the mood of a naval shore-leave bash. Gates open at 1900 and live music begins at 2000. $20/person.
