Finalist for the 2010 Governor General's Awards for Excellence in Teaching Canadian History

A grade 3/4 split class of "New Canadians" gain a stronger connection between their personal history, Alberta's history and Canadian history by examining Alberta's stories to learn about aboriginals, Voyageurs & Early Settlers. Students then collaborate in the writing and production of a 'shadow play' for the entire school.
